Here is my trip this evening...got a few more things for our trip and a few things for next week when I am exhausted and don't wanna shop! lol...Some great deals to be had at Bi-Lo this week! The Powerade wasn't on my list, but it was $0.69 each...for a 32 oz.! Got milk on clearance..close to date for $1.99! Some of the prices were lower than advertised at my store so check back to the match-ups it has been updated!

Have the kids ever tried to throw things in the cart or you haven't eaten supper and you want those Cheez-its that are over priced this week? Yeah...me too! This is a BIG ONE! Always take cash when you go to the grocery store. That way you have a set budget and won't over spend! The kids may try to throw things in the cart and those Cheez-its are always calling my name, but unless they deserve a reward or just maybe I have a little extra money...I don't buy anything I haven't planned for!! If you buy things that aren't on sale you are not saving and more than likely you don't need it if it's not on the list! Trust me...Cheez-its are not a good diet plan!

Tip of the Day #4

Clipping all of my coupons out every week, in my opinion, is such a waste of time AND it seems I never use all of the coupons I clip, even though I think I might use this or that.....Try keeping your inserts all together in an accordion file. Label on the front with date and then whenever you see my match-ups, just look for the insert and date. Then, go to that file and clip the coupons you need!! Saves loads of time and there is a lot less mess... which for me, as a mom, the less mess I have to clean, the better! Try this method and let me know what you think! You can also buy the handheld one for organizing your coupons while you shop!
P.S. - I recommend taking file folder to store just in case.....

When shopping for groceries just buy what's on sale! Buy One Get One deals are usually really great and there are other sales too! You don't have to have coupons to save money...you just have to shop sensibly and buy ONLY what's on sale...that is the KEY! Look closely at the tags..if it says ...Save $0.10!!...that's not really a sale!
When you begin you will have to fill your pantry, but after that just make a trip each week to the grocery store and ...once again...buy ONLY what's on sale and buy enough to last several weeks...until it goes on sale again! Then if you want to add coupons you can..they just save a little extra!

Kmart Trip 6/20/12.....$2.71 OOP!!!
Did great today at Kmart...didn't split up transactions at all, just put them all together so 5 of my coupons would double. Also didn't get everything I had intended because my local paper had like 4 coupons in the RedPlum this week!!! Really!?! So see picture for what I did get. I would have only paid $1.71 tax and all but she asked if I wanted to donate to March of Dimes and I just can't turn that down!

So here is my shopping trip at CVS. I did look around a little for the clearance deals and picked up the CVS Flushable Wipes Bonus pack (100 wipes) for $1.74 and I also got a $4 off any Mission Sun care item and a 2/$1 Pepsi 2L when you spend $10 at the Coupon Center (red box thingy)! I opened the Sweet Vanilla Mission Lip Balm and it is pretty sweet...especially since it was FREE! Priced at $3.99 and after $4 Q....FREE! Also didn't have the Bounty 3 count towels so I just got batteries instead...with $20 worth of coupons inside! I would have looked around more, but I had two sleepy, hot kids so I called it quits!

Kmart 6/16/12!!!! Spent $38.42 OOP...still have $30 to spend next week!

I bought a few extra things that I needed like Hershey's syrup for the boy and Diet Pepsi products for me that were $1.00 so my total was a bit higher than I had anticipated...I also ended up changing my transactions up a little because there were no more paper towels! But it still worked out and my store is doing the Dove promo! It is actually valid 5/29/12 through 7/9/12, so this week was probably the best time to take advantage with the double dip!!

I also ventured to Food Lion...which I do sometimes, they do have some great deals too! I just wish they doubled coupons!! Spent$17.16 Saved $15.64! Pretty great!

Ok,.... so I forgot the 2 Covergirl $1/1 Q's (which would have taken off $4 more dollars and I also forgot the wipes Q for $0.75 which would have taken off $1.50)! I actually had had a long day and had decided not to go then changed my mind.....that's what I get for being spontaneous!!! I also bought a few more things and the milk was $3.99...so I still did okay but not a moneymaker for me! Only cost me $7.19 plus tax after the award cards (2 cards $5 ea.) and 2 $10 P&G crts....and after MIR....also got a spend $50 get 5,000 points!
